     What we Believe

 

  • We believe the Holy Bible was written by men supernaturally inspired by God.   2 Timothy 3:16-17      2 Peter 1:19-21

  • We believe there is one, and only one, living and true God.
    Gen. 17:1   1 Cor. 8:6   Eph. 4:6

  • We believe the Holy Spirit is a divine person; equal with God the Father and God the Son and of the same nature. 
    John 14:16-17   Ephesians 1:13-14    Heb. 9:14  1 Tim. 1:17

  • We believe Satan was once holy, and enjoyed heavenly honors; but he fell and after him a host of angels.  Isa. 14:12-15

  • We believe in the Genesis account of creation, and that it is to be accepted literally, and not allegorically or figuratively.
    Gen. 1:1  Acts 4:24   Col. 1:16-17

  • We believe man was created in innocence, but by voluntary transgression fell from his sinless and happy state.  Gen. 3:24
    Romans 5:12  Gal. 3:22

  • We believe Jesus Christ was born of the Holy Spirit, in a miraculous manner of Mary, a virgin.  Gen. 3:15   Isa. 7:14  Gal. 4:4

  • We believe that the salvation of sinners is by grace through Jesus Christ, the Son of God.   Eph. 2:8    1 Peter 2:24  

  • We believe that in order to be saved, sinners must be born again; that the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus.  2 Cor. 5:17

  • We believe that Christ rose bodily the third day.  Matt. 28:6-7

  • The command to give the Gospel to the world is clear and unmistakable and this Commission was given to the churches.
    Matt. 28:18-20    Acts 1:8     Romans 10:13-15

  • Scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the faith, and we believe tithing is for today.   2 Cor. 8:7    Heb. 7:2-4   Matt. 23:33
